pattern repeat is a new music-project and label by kenneth christiansen, echocord & echocord colour label boss, and his partner dennis bøg aka resoe, running the baum label. the pattern repeat label will only containsproductions from kenneth & dennis, and the music is focused on the modern berlin techno sound today, dubstep and dub-techno. pattern repeat will also release records on other labels, so far the first one is out on echocordcolour. kenneth and dennis met eachother 8 years ago when they worked together in at that time famous copenhagen-record-shop >loud<, which closed 5 years ago. at that time dennis was more into broken beat, hip-hop anddeep house. kenneth was already running the label echocord, and soon dennis started his label baum. the label baum is also like echocord, releasing dub-techno, and dennis started to release his own material as resoe, andbuilded up his studio the years after.1 year ago we decided to try to do a new project together, working together in the studio, and now pattern repeat is born.

alain ho aka dj yellow is one of the electronic music artists who established himself as one of the forward thinking artists in general. in the eighties dj yellow pushed forward french hip hop and he also had big influence on what french house music is today. with his label yellow productions (founded 1993 with his mate bob sinclar) he released artists like salome de bahia, dimitri from paris, joe clausell, bang bang and kid loco. with his second imprint poussez music (founded in 2003) he created an outlet for his own sounds.

fresh 2010 repress !! historia y violencia is a new project exploring the hispanic roots of santiago salazar (dj s2) and j. mendez (silent servant). both producers dissect their latin upbringings as a cinematic theme to create snapshots of the day-to-day blood and sweat that has shaped them as individuals. the sound takes cue from detroit, berlin and chicago to create classic, deep dancefloor tracks. santiago salazar started djing in the early 90s inspired by mix tapes his brother was bringing back from the gay underground scene in los angeles. his style has always been a mixture of house and techno. after moving to detroit, santiago began his music training with mike banks, label founder of underground resistance. he is also half of the duo ican (ican productions / planet e) who have been responsible for some killer techno releases. the central american born j. mendez cut his teeth as jasper in the late 90s/early 2000s, running the california-based cytrax label. a veteran dj from the age of 16, he has performed worldwide in clubs from berlin to osaka. along with technical wizards kit clayton and sutekh, he helped shed light on the small but influential minimal techno scene on the west coast. a chance meeting with karl oconnor in 1999 established a friendship that would later open the door to the sandwell district label in 2006. silent servants sound is a reinterpretation of early 80s post-punk electronics, paired with the deep, metallic sounds of basic channel and downwards.

the first release on mirrors, >shitzzo< by marco polo is a cool, groovy technotrack. marco had releases on labels like i220, toneman or hidden agenda and is well known for his clean, minimalistic technostyle. the release also includes great remixes by gaetano parisio (adagio), dave shokh & simon beeston (highgrade). the parisio remix is a houseflavoured percy groover. the other mixes are more into minimalistic techno.

as well 2010 aspekt dont allow oneself a break and so also this year, many brillant productions with interesting support acts are planned. after various successful releases, aspekt strikes back with number 13. süß sauer by microtune & takter, invites the listener to a never ending excursion of dreaming and dancing.they are known to tap the full possibilities, to reach minimalist the most. on side a their track süß enchanted by pushing tech-house, with a touch of deep and playful emotional melodies. dole&kom sweeten the whole thing, with their spirited remix once more. experimental tech-house, mixed with minimal accents, which animate to dance. since 2005 the guys have their own label death by disco and they are producing for labels like bondage, parquet and session deluxe. with sauer on side b, the listener can expect a nice minimal-house track by the duo, which leaves nothing to be desired. gregor sultanow gives it beans once more, with his remix. his permanent experimentation, which feature his style, you can hear clearly. great minimal-tech-house with playful melodic sounds with which you cant sit still. awesome record for the dancefloors!

reincarnation is back with a debut from another upcoming italian production team, dirty channels. they deliver two african inspired tech jams, african democrazy and litho. the first has been also reworked by monocaldas rame into a slighty tougher workout and by isoul8 into a deep psychedelic journey.

ilya santana originates from the canary islands (spain). he started to discover his passion for music 20 years ago, while his father was listening to alan parson, vangelis and giorgio moroder amongst others. 15 years ago he started dj ing around all the clubs in gran canaria. not long after that he started producing his own stuff. his first release was on balihu, daniel wang s label. in the meantime he also released records on tirk, permanent vacation and gomma, and remixed artists like human league, the phenomenal handclap band, lindstrom... now we are proud to announce ilya s first release on eskimo, burning jupiter. it s the predecessor to his artist album coming up later in 2010 and showcases perfectly exactly why we wanted him so much to join the eskimo family
